This assurance was given by the Deputy Head of Mission, Oliver PRAZ of the Embassy of Switzerland in Sri Lanka when he met Northern Province Governor Ms P.S.M. Charles

Their discussions were focused on education of school children in the North, formers agriculture activites and the improvement of infrastuturs facilties for the benift of the people.

The governor briefed on the present situation in the Northern Provinces bringing to the notice of the Deputy Head of Mission of Switzerland on economic hard ships faced by the people in the North.

“Switzerland is supporting Sri Lanka in many ways during this difficult time. Farmers, their families and many people associated with the agricultural sector are currently facing enormous difficulties’ Deputy Head of Mission said.

He added “We have developed a partnership with WFP to strengthen the resilience of Sri Lankan farmers. This will ultimately benefit the entire population,”
