Kotahena also known as Colombo 13 is an amazing suburb in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Kotahena is a popular tourist destination, attracting numerous tourists and is home to some of the famous places of worship such as St Lucia’s Church, the largest church in Sri Lanka, Anthony’s Church, Sri Ponnambalavaneshwarar, Sima Malaka and Paramananda Vihara, the oldest Buddhist temple founded in 1806. It also has Sugadadasa Stadium, the national athletics stadium of Sri Lanka. It even hosts two famous schools providing an excellent medium of education for boys and girls that are maintained by the Catholic church, Good Shepherd Convent and St Benedicts College. The town has some famous feasts that are held annually at the famous catholic churches.
