Shanika Madhumali Rathnayake, A talented young girl from Polgahawela came to Sri Lankan music field through Sirasa Super Star reality TV show. On 8th May 2010, just few months before her 19th birthday she crowned as the winner of 3rd series in Sirasa Super Star. The most special thing is she hasn t studied music as a major subject in her life. Wining Super Star was all from her born talent. She sung Akasaye Kurullo , a song by Mrs. Sujatha Aththanayake in final 100 of Sirasa Super Star season 3. Right after she ends her song Mr. Amal Perera blessed her to be at final of that season. It was a very positive comment for her life & she succeed all the way and met Arjuna Rookantha in Sirasa Super Star season 3 final. Shanika has sung many singles & duets till now. Recently with Bachi Susan, she made a super hit duet song called Bambara Nade . That song s video released on 14th February 2013 & it made top of all Sri Lankan chart shows within few weeks. As her 1st audio album she is ready to release Punchi Kude in near future
